Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at Grade D.
This practical course will prepare students for a career in the care industry. This course is an ideal stepping-stone for progression onto Level 3 programmes. Modules will include Human Lifespan Development, the Impact of Diet on Health, and Individual Needs within the Health and Social Care Sectors. Students can study GCSE Maths and English resit if they have a Grade D. Students can progress on to the BTEC Extended Diploma HSC Level 3 if they obtain English GCSE at Grade C and a Merit in their Diploma..
Successful candidates may progress onto the Applied AS in Health and Social Care, BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 Health and Social Care or other relevant Level 3 care programmes.
