Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at Grade D or equivalent.
This course provides skills, knowledge and qualifications that are equivalent to the first two years of a Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. This practical course gives you the basic skills needed by employers, with whom you can train further or gain employment as a Modern Apprentice Engineer. The course includes: Turning, Milling, Welding and Sheet Metalwork, Health and Safety and Functional Skills.
BTEC qualification and/or work based training programmes.
