2 year course based at the Redditch Campus
Entry Requirements: 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above to include English Language plus a satisfacory reference and interview. A Criminal Record Bureau check will be undertaken before the course start date.
This newly developed qualification prepares learners to work in any childcare setting. Learners will spend part of their time in a training placement where they will be assessed on their practical skills. The remainder of the course will take place in College. There is a possibility that this may become a two year course as the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) are currently reviewing the qualification.
This qualification provides a route into work in a variety of childcare settings. The development of the second year is still under review and pathways onto Higher Education are not yet confirmed.
