1 year course based at the Redditch Campus
Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at Grade D to include English at Grade D, plus a satisfactory reference and interview. A Criminal Record Bureau check will be carried out before the course start date.
Currently this qualification is the first step to gaining employment in the childcare industry. The course will help learners develop the skills needed to work as an assistant in a childcare setting. Learners will spend part of their time in a training placement where they will be assessed on their practical skills. The remainder of the course takes place in College.
Learners may be able to progress onto the Children and Young People’s Workforce Level 3 Diploma, or apply for work in a childcare setting as an assistant.
