Unit 1: Global Challenges
There will be a 1 hour 30 minutes examination with two sections. You will study a range of topics such as Global Hazards, Climate Change and Future Global Challenges.
Unit 2: Geographical Investigations
You will investigate two topics in depth, one of Extreme Weather or Crowded Coasts (physical geography) and one of Unequal Spaces or Rebranding Places (human geography). This is assessed by a one hour examination paper. Both papers include data response questions and extended writing.
Unit 3: Contested Planet
There will be a 2 hour 30 minutes examination with two sections and a pre-release resource booklet.
Unit 4: Geographical Research
This unit is assessed by a one hour 30 minutes examination, involving pre-release material and one extended essay.
Both A2 papers include data response questions, extended writing or essay style questions.
